Daughter of Antonio Barezzi, born in Busseto in 1814, she married Giuseppe Verdi on May 4^th, 1836 in the Oratory of the SS. Trinità next to the Chiesa Collegiata of Busseto. She moved with her husband to Milan where Virginia and Icilio were born. However, the babies both died, to be followed shortly by their mother, who died suddenly in 1840.
